The Experience
The Cederberg Mountains are a geological wonderland just a few hours north of Cape Town, offering some of the best adventure riding terrain in the country. This 3-day expedition is designed for riders looking to get dust on their boots and experience the raw, silent beauty of the wilderness.
We will be transitioning from smooth coastal tar to sweeping gravel highways, and finally into rocky two-track trails. The CFMoto 450 MT is the perfect lightweight weapon for this varied terrain, allowing us to explore deep into the mountains where heavier bikes struggle.
Expect long days in the saddle, breathtaking landscapes, and evenings spent around a braai sharing stories with your fellow riders.
Itinerary
Day 1 - Cape Town to Mount Ceder
We leave the tarmac behind at Ceres, hitting the gravel towards the heart of the Cederberg. Sunset beers overlooking the red rocks.
Day 2 - Wupperthal & Pakhuis Pass
A technical riding day. We navigate the rocky descent into the isolated Moravian mission village of Wupperthal, then conquer the twisting Pakhuis Pass.
Day 3 - Tankwa Edge & Return
We skirt the edge of the vast Tankwa Karoo before carving our way back through the historic Bainskloof Pass to Cape Town.
